Unexpected ways to engage – How to support refugees with NFT and UX? Unexpected ways to engage – How to use NFT and UX to support refugees?
▎Activity Introduction|Introduction
When it comes to refugee issues, are you only thinking about humanitarian workers delivering essential goods or medical teams providing emergency treatments? There are different ways to approach refugee issues and we can better support refugees by combining different areas of expertise. This event is joined by Wen for All, a group of aspiring blockchain participants that sells NFT to support those affected by conflicts; and Iris, a UX designer that designed an app as part of her master’s programme to support refugees’ integration into society.

Refugee Path
Refugee Path was established in 2021 by development practitioners Hsiao-Chi Chu and Chunyuan Hu. Through team members’ combined research experience in forced migration and fieldwork in different countries, Refugee Path was created with the hope of building a collaborative based, knowledge-sharing platform in Taiwan. We have held nine online interactive co-writing workshops since 2021. In 2022, we decided to organize a refugee week in Taiwan. Refugee Week Taiwan will be held each year as an open forum to discuss the current challenges and opportunities for refugees in Taiwan and beyond.
