📢 Looking for the path to make a change for Refugees.

The series of co-writing workshops-’Refugee Path’, is facilitated by Hsiao-Chi Chu (the initiator of Weave the Edge) and Chun-Yuan Hu (the initiator of Refugee 101 Taiwan). Combining Hsiao-Chi Chu and Chun-Yuan Hu’s research experience in forced migration and refugees and field experience in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, they aim to build a knowledge-based platform titled ‘Forced Migration Database’ in Taiwan with workshop participants and contributors from different fields.

📢 Looking for the path to make a change for Refugees.
Looking for possible paths to change on refugee issues

For many Taiwanese, we only begin to know refugees through video stories…

About Refugee Path Project

For Sama tells a story that seems desperate but is full of love and hope. The Syrian director Waad Al-Khateab used images to record the war he experienced in the ancient Syrian city of Aleppo, and a love letter to his daughter Sama, who was born during the war.

In the documentary Hunger Ward, the faces of hungry children are clearly visible. The video records the story of two medical staff trying to save children on the verge of famine in the forgotten war in Yemen…

According to statistics from the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), approximately 80 million people around the world have been forced to migrate. Some are internally displaced, while others have fled across borders to seek asylum in other countries. Although these real events may seem distant, they are actually very close and exist in our daily lives around us. Perhaps because the refugee issue is relatively remote, not everyone is familiar with the ongoing forced migration/refugee issue and the factors that lead to forced migration/refugee.

Therefore, this series of projects – "Refugee Path" will be launched by two initiators, Zhu Xiaoqi (initiator of Weave the Edge ) and Hu Junyuan ( Refugee 101 Taiwan founder), integrating past professional background in forced migration/refugee disciplines and research, field experience traveling in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe, and extending the experience of promoting forced migration/refugee issue workshops, through this "series of joint discussion workshops", through each case discussion, an integrated intellectual platform for discussing forced migration/refugee issues – the "Forced Migration Database" will be constructed.

The series of co-writing workshops-'Refugee Path', is facilitated by Hsiao-Chi Chu (the initiator of Weave the Edge ) and Chun-Yuan Hu (the initiator of Refugee 101 Taiwan ). Combining Hsiao-Chi Chu and Chun-Yuan Hu's research experience in forced migration and refugees and field experience in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, they aim to build a knowledge-based platform titled 'Forced Migration Database' in Taiwan with workshop participants and contributors from different fields.
